Marilena Lacovou

Marilena began her career in operational roles, gaining experience in back-office management and client administration before progressing into AML and Compliance within the financial services industry. Over the years, she has held increasingly senior positions, including AML Compliance Officer and Corporate Registered Secretary, and is currently an Executive Director and Deputy AMLCO.

Throughout her career, Marilena has developed extensive experience in AML and Compliance matters, corporate governance, risk assessments, internal controls, and the development and implementation of policies and procedures. She holds a Diploma in Arts & Social Sciences from the University of Dundee, where she studied Philosophy and Psychology, together with the CySEC Advanced Certificate and CySEC AML Certificate.

Marilena lives in Larnaca with her husband and their children and enjoys spending time with her family and travelling, balancing her professional responsibilities with her personal interests.
