Rob Aberdein

Rob Aberdein holds three senior roles at Hoxton Wealth: General Counsel, Group Director of Strategy, and Group Director of Legal. 

As Group Director of Strategy, Rob supports the business in growing safely, purposefully, and at pace, drawing on significant experience of building, scaling, and exiting law firms and multidisciplinary professional services businesses, including within private equity-backed environments. 

In his role as Group Director of Legal, he is responsible for developing a future-proofed, tech-enabled, global private client-focussed law firm aligned with the needs of internationally mobile clients.  

As General Counsel, Rob oversees Hoxton’s legal and governance framework, supporting M&A activity, commercial contracting, and the continued development of the firm’s internal legal function. 

Rob is a Scots law-qualified lawyer with a strongly commercial and pragmatic approach. He enjoys working at the intersection of strategy, law, and entrepreneurship, helping businesses grow with clarity, discipline, and long-term resilience.
